We Nissan Sentra owners have known all along, the Nissan Sentra is an inexpensive, fun car to own. Now, in a review on Yahoo, the Nissan Sentra has been listed in the Top Ten Cheapest Cars to Own List. I’ve been laughing all the way to the bank with my car, so I wasn’t at all surprised to see the Nissan Sentra listed at number 10 in affordability. I was actually surprised it wasn’t higher up the list!
Affordability is the key component of the list, and as some may not know that involves not only the price you pay for Nissan Sentra, and your down payment, and your monthly payments. You also have to consider fuel consumption, maintenance, insurance costs, breakdowns and repairs(ie reliability), and depreciation. You really have to factor in all of these variables of your annual car budget to know if you are getting the most affordable car you can. According to the study, the starting price of the Nissan Sentra is $16,070 and the 5 year total cost worked out to $29,623 (which includes all of the cost factors discussed above). This worked out to a cost per mile of $0.39 over the 5 years, assuming 15,000 miles of driving per year.
